SEA Games highlights: U23 Vietnam 0-0 Philippines The students of Coach Park Hengrui are on the field in the second round of the Men’s Football Group A of the 31st SEA Games.

“The draw with Vietnam U23 is an achievement, it is the strongest team in this group and even in the entire Southeast Asia region. After the first game of Vietnam U23 against Indonesia, we analyzed it, made a plan of approach, we adjusted the team tactic that stopped Vietnam. “I know their offense is very strong. A draw with them was a very beneficial result,” Mr Norman Figuedro said in the opening post-match report.

The 52-year-old strategist walked into the press conference room in high spirits. He and his students achieved their goal when they drew the defending champions and the home team. Coach Figidero continued: “It is very difficult to defend in a rainy day like today. However, I think it is also a factor in favor of the Philippines U23 team.”

“The goal of the team is to win tickets to the semi-finals. The draw is as meaningful as a win,” the Philippines U23 coach confirmed.

Mr. Figuidero said he is not currently interested in Indonesia U23s, the Philippines’ final match opponent. This could also be the match that decides the tickets for the next round of the U23s between the Philippines and Indonesia. The coach is certain that he just wants to focus on the next game against Myanmar U23s.

The Philippines U23 is very determined to enter the men’s football semi-finals of the SEA Games. In the 2019 home game, although the team played well, they missed the opportunity.

After the 0-0 draw, the Philippines U23 remained at the top of Group A with 4 points, and the difference was better than the home team Vietnam U23.
