Man Utd officially added 2 new players to the Champions League

The Old Trafford team has adjusted in terms of personnel before the match against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League.

In this summer transfer window, Man Utd’s force has many changes. Accordingly, coach Ralf Rangnick could not bring in any new recruits, but on the contrary, the Old Trafford team pushed away a series of players.

3 of the most notable names are Amad Diallo, Anthony Martial and Donny van de Beek. While Martial moved to Sevilla on loan, Van de Beek and Diallo also joined Everton and Rangers in the same way.

Initially, these three players were in the Red Devils’ Champions League squad. Due to leaving Man Utd, all 3 were excluded from the list of matches. Instead, Man Utd soon had a replacement.

Specifically, Man Utd officially added goalkeeper Lee Grant and midfielder Phil Jones. This duo is immediately capable of playing against Atletico Madrid, in the next two Champions League matches in the round of 16.


As a rule, players aged 21 and under who have trained for two years at the club can register at any time, as long as one day before UEFA Champions League matches. Mason Greenwood, Anthony Elanga and Hannibal Mejbri belong to this group (list B).
