Rookie Bournemouth have been the target of Liverpool’s anger after a three-match winless run. According to Opta, it was the first time in Premier League history and the first time since 1989 that “The Kop” had scored nine goals in a single game.
Bournemouth’s fragile defence could not withstand the pressure from the hosts. In the first 8 minutes of the game, the “Cherry Team” net was shaken as many as 3 times, 2 of which were recognized as goals. In the 3rd minute, Firmino paused, and Luis Diaz scored with a high shot.
Three minutes later, youngster Harvey Elliott got the Anfield stand emotional with a fine goal from outside the box, knocking goalkeeper Travers out, 2-0.
In the 28th minute, Anfield made another super product, an unstoppable long-range shot created by full-back Trent Alexander-Arnold. Halfway through the first half, Firmino also completed a hat-trick of assists.
“The Kop” scored 2 more goals for the remainder of the first half, before weak resistance from head coach Scott Parker’s pupils and teachers. Even fouls help the home team score. In the 31st minute, Salah’s pass hit the defender and became a medium assist. Firmino completed it close and expanded the score to 4-0. The tackle made him the first player in Liverpool history to score four goals (one goal, three assists) in the first half of the Premier League.
In the 45th minute, Van Dijk joined the attack. A brave header from the Dutch midfielder helped the home team enter the goal with a 5-goal advantage. In this game, Liverpool scored all three goals.
5-0 is still not a difference that pleases Liverpool. The Merseyside club continued to put pressure on their opponents in the second half, scoring a sixth after an own goal by Meppen.
Firmino showed his personality when opponents parted, not looking at goal but was still able to score 7-0 for “The Kop”.
Liverpool scored two more goals in the 80th and 85th minutes, thanks to Fabio Carvalho and Luis Diaz, to win 9-0.
Salah was ungrateful on the day the home team played formidable, missing three brilliant chances, two of which were close-cushion cushions.
After beating Aston Villa in the first round, Bournemouth lost 3 consecutive games, conceded 16 times and failed to score. Scott Parker teachers and students are against clubs in the “big six” group (Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool).
