Lampard praises the star who left Chelsea to join Arsenal

 The former Blues captain gave a good word to his former student who used to stay at Stamford Bridge.

In a recent interview via The Overlap, Frank Lampard expressed his thoughts on his time in charge of Chelsea.

The Chelsea Chronicle quoted the English coach on his approach to coaching after taking over the coaching bench at Stamford Bridge from his predecessor Maurizio Sarri: “I try to make a few adjustments to the fitness level and The mindset that the coaching staff want the team to aim for. Besides that, there are some tactical details.”

 Lampard praised the old game.

“I think in the first year, we did pretty well… One of them was the fact that Tammy Abraham and Mason Mount took a step up in the team.”

The former captain of the big west London gave praise to his former Brazilian student – Willian: “People like Willian have to receive mixed opinions from Chelsea fans. However, for me, he is brilliant because he is brilliant because I know his natural qualities .”

“When you get him really fit and give him the feeling of being a key player, he’ll dance on the pitch.”

In his final season with Chelsea, Willian contributed 11 goals and 9 assists in 47 games. Under Lampard in the 2019/20 season, only Mason Mount and Cesar Azpilicueta played more matches than the Samba trigger. Leaving the Blues, Willian joined Arsenal last summer.
