Rashford scored a late goal to help the Reds get a win over West Ham.

Marcus Rashford has faced criticism after recent unsatisfactory matches. He also only appeared from the bench in Saturday’s clash with West Ham. However, the 24-year-old striker’s efforts were well rewarded with a goal in the last minute of injury time to bring home. Full 3 points for United.

Speaking on BBC’s “Match of the Day”, Danny Murphy praised the impact of United’s second-half substitutes and highlighted Rashford’s “different energy” on the pitch. 

The former Liverpool midfielder said: “Ultimately, the quality that United had from the bench helped them win the game, and especially Rashford.”

“We saw a different energy in him today. There were a lot of gestures in his body language and intentions that were lacking before.”

“That’s exactly what you want, someone who delivers a sharp, fresh edge.”

“He’s running around from the back, he’s racing with everyone. Like the Rashford we saw a few seasons ago, Rashford is confident. People who cause problems for opposing players, ” added Murphy.

Ralf Rangnick also agrees with Murphy when talking about the student. The German strategist shared: “Rashford is one of the top strikers in England. He has all the qualities of a modern striker. Confidence has returned. I’m sure with two goals. The last win, Rashford has regained his confidence.”
