Paul Pogba’s future at Old Trafford is in question at the time the contract between the two sides expires this summer. However, coach Rangnick said he would continue to use the French midfielder.

Anthony Martial has not appeared in the MU squad playing in the English Premier League since the beginning of December after announcing he would leave Old Trafford right in the winter transfer window.

Meanwhile, the contract between MU and Paul Pogba expires in the summer and the French midfielder is likely to leave on a free transfer. Observers said that coach Rangnick will not use Pogba after the player recovers from an injury because the French player does not want to extend his contract.

However, in a recent press conference, coach Rangnick announced that he would let Pogba play whether the player wanted to stay at Old Trafford or not.

” Of course Pogba will still play, no problem. Nemanja Matic’s contract is coming to an end but he will play. By the way, my contract as a coach will also expire at the end of the season. It doesn’t matter because we are still aiming for the only target in the next few months ,” coach Rangnick said.

Coach Rangnick also thinks that Pogba will be motivated to contribute because he wants to impress other teams.

” Don’t question a player whose contract is about to expire, ask if he wants to contribute to this team, mentally and physically. Paul Pogba has just returned from more than two and a half months of injury. He wants to show himself to the fans and he may also want to impress other teams.

Like I said, what’s important is the attitude of the players at the moment. As long as the players have the ambition to play, I will use it, it doesn’t matter if the contract is about to expire or not ,” said coach Rangnick.

This statement of the German strategist is also his way of ‘frustrating’ striker Martial. Previously, the French striker was said to have refused to play in MU’s match against Aston Villa in the English Premier League.

In the case of Pogba, the midfielder is likely to return in the match between MU and Middlesbrough in the FA Cup. The last match that Pogba played for MU was a 2-2 draw against Atalanta in the Champions League at the beginning of November last year.
